Fluorescence Immunoassay Hormone Lh – Product code: SC-1460-20

Test for the diagnosis of luteinizing hormone (LH) to identify luteinizing hormone (LH) in whole blood, serum or plasma with the use of the Immunofluorescence Analyzer. For professional in vitro diagnostic use only. The LH Test Cassette (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of luteinizing hormone (LH) in whole blood, serum or plasma as an aid in the detection of ovulation. Ovulation is the production of an egg from the ovaries. The egg then passes into the fallopian tube where it is ready to be fertilized. To achieve pregnancy, the egg must be fertilized by sperm within 24 hours of its production. Immediately before ovulation, the body produces a large amount of luteinizing hormone (LH) which initiates the production of a mature egg from the ovaries. This “LH surge” usually occurs in the middle of the menstrual cycle1. The LH test (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is a complete system to help predict the time of ovulation and the peak of fertility. It is during this fertile time that pregnancy is most likely to occur. Ovulation is the production of an egg from the ovaries. The LH test (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) identifies the LH peak in whole blood/serum/plasma, indicating that ovulation will probably occur in the next 24-36 hours. The test uses a combination of antibodies including an LH monoclonal antibody to selectively detect elevated LH levels. Important: the LH surge and ovulation may not occur in all menstrual cycles. The LH Cassette Test is a test that quantitatively detects the level of LH in the whole blood/serum/plasma sample. The test uses a combination of antibodies, including the anti-LH monoclonal antibody to selectively detect high levels of LH. The minimum detection level is 20mlU/mL. The LH Test Cassette (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is based on immunofluorescence for the detection of the human LH hormone in whole blood/serum/plasma to determine the onset of menopause in women. The sample moves across the strip from the sample pad to the absorbent pad. If the sample contains LH, it attaches to the fluorescent beads conjugated to anti-LH antibodies. Then the compound is captured by the capture antibodies placed on the nitrocellulose membrane (Test line). The concentration of LH in the sample is directly proportional to the intensity of the fluorescent signal captured on the T-line. Depending on the intensity of the fluorescence on the test and the standard curve, the concentration of LH in the sample is calculated by the SCREEN® Analyzer to show the LH concentration in the sample.
