Rubella Igm Rapid Test – Product code: IRM-302(SC-0685-40)

Rapid test for the qualitative detection of Rubella IgM antibodies in human serum or plasma. For professional in vitro diagnostic use only. The Rubella IgM rapid test is a rapid immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of Rubella IgM antibodies in serum or plasma to assist in the diagnosis of Rubella infection. The Rubella virus is a member of the Togaviridae family, found mainly in human populations. Rubella is generally considered to be a non-serious adolescent disease. However, a maternal infection can be transmitted to the fetus through the placenta, causing congenital rubella. A primary rubella infection contracted during the early stages of pregnancy can have serious consequences such as severe damage to the fetus, stillbirth or miscarriage. Babies born asymptomatic can develop these abnormalities later in life. Widespread vaccination significantly reduced the incidence of rubella in all age groups. However, 10-20% of young people still appear to be exposed to the virus. To reduce the risk of serious complications, accurate serological methods should be used to determine the serological status of pregnant women in old age. The Rubella IgM rapid test (Serum/Plasma) is a rapid immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of Rubella IgM antibodies in serum or plasma samples. The Rubella IgM rapid test (Serum/Plasma) is a qualitative lateral scrolling immunoassay for the detection of Rubella IgM antibodies in serum or plasma samples. In this test, Rubella antigens coat the test line areas on the media. During the test, the serum or plasma sample reacts with the goat anti-human IgM antibody that covers the particles on the test strip. The compound migrates upward on the membrane by capillary action and reacts with the specific rubella antigen on the membrane in the test line area. The presence of this colored line on the test area indicates a positive result for Rubella infection, while its absence indicates a negative result for that infection. As a procedural control, a colored line always appears in the control line region, indicating that the correct volume of sample has been used and that the membrane has been soaked.
