The Clostridium difficile Toxin A + Toxin B combination rapid test (Feces) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Toxin A and Toxin B Clostridium difficile antigens in human stool samples. The Clostridium difficile Toxin A + Toxin B Combination Rapid Test detects two distinct antigens in stool samples for C. difficile, viz., Toxin A and Toxin B on two different test strips in the same device, thus simultaneously detects two specific Clostridium antigens hard. Clostridium difficile is an anaerobic bacterium that acts as an opportunistic pathogen: it grows in the intestine when the normal flora is altered by antibiotic therapy. Toxigenic strains of Clostridium difficile cause infections from simple diarrhea to pseudomembranous colitis, which can even cause death. The disease is caused by two toxins produced by the toxigenic strains of C. difficile: Toxin A (tissue-damaging enterotoxin) and Toxin B (cytotoxin). Some strains produce both toxin A and B, while others produce only B. The potential role of a third (binary) toxin in pathogenesis is still debated. The Clostridium difficile Toxin A + Toxin B Combination Rapid Test detects two distinct antigens in stool samples for C. difficile, viz., Toxin A and Toxin B on two different test strips in the same device, thus simultaneously detects two specific Clostridium antigens hard. For the test for A-specific Toxin C. difficile. The membrane is coated with an anti-Toxin A C. diff antibody. and antibody to Toxin A C. diff. over the entire area of the test line. During the test, the sample reacts with the particle coated with anti-Toxin A C. diff antibody. The compound migrates upwards on the membrane chromatographically by capillary action reacting with the anti-Toxin A C. diff antibody. on the membrane and generates a colored line. The presence of this colored line in the test line area indicates a positive result, while its absence indicates a negative result. As a procedural control, a colored line always forms in the control zone, indicating that an appropriate volume of sample has been spilled and the membrane has been wetted. For the test of B-specific Toxin C. difficile. The membrane is coated with an anti-Toxin B C. diff antibody. and anti-Toxin B C. diff. over the entire area of the test line.
